Hello everyone, I’m Sho.
I’m a fitness enthusiast living in Japan, with a particular love for CrossFit and bodybuilding. I originally started playing soccer in middle school and continued until high school. During that time, I discovered the joy of weight training and started going to the gym regularly once I entered university.
Initially, I focused on bodybuilding and was all about getting bigger and stronger. However, over time, I began to dislike how I could no longer run long distances or even climb a flight of stairs without getting winded. That’s when I discovered CrossFit at the end of 2021, and I became fascinated with the idea of building strength while improving my aerobic capacity. To me, a strong and fit man can lift heavy weights, have a great physique, and still run long distances. That’s the kind of person I aspire to be, and I’m enjoying every moment of training toward that goal!
Throughout my fitness journey, I’ve had countless questions about what kind of training I should be doing and how to do it safely and effectively. With over 10 years of experience as a physiotherapist, I have a solid foundation in how the human body works. Using that knowledge, I’ve done a lot of research, and I started this blog to share what I’ve learned with other fitness enthusiasts. My goal is to provide scientifically-backed training methods, injury prevention tips, skill development strategies, and even insights into how neuroscience can enhance your training.
Outside of the gym, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter, and I never say no to a good cup of coffee. Through this blog, I aim to connect with fellow workout geeks, share my experiences, and grow stronger together.
Let’s connect and crush our fitness goals together!
Cheers,
SHO
